I’m having students in my web development courses use Sublime Text as their editor. As a result, I’ve been digging deep into Sublime Text & writing up what I’ve learned on my personal website, which I use with some of my classes. This post is a pointer to some of those pages.

I’ve been telling my students in every class we have together: be lazy! Let the computer automate the boring, tedious stuff so that you can do the fun, creative, interesting, non-tedious stuff. One of the most tedious things you can do is type the same things over & over again. Fortunately, Sublime Text helps banish that particular problem, & it does so beautifully, with its auto-completion feature.

I cover that feature in “Auto-Completion in Sublime Text”. Man oh man, it is nice. Far nicer than what BBEdit has to offer. Auto-completion is definitely an area in which Sublime Text has BBEdit beat handily1.

  1. C’mon, BBEdit! Get off the stick on this one & improve your auto-completion!
